Three Pioneer Winter Oilseed Rape PACTS (Pioneer Accurate Crop Testing System) Trials were harvested in 2009. Each trial was planted on the farm of a Pioneer customer and comprised a wide strip of each of the currently commercially available Pioneer oilseed rape hybrids plus one competitor variety (Excalibur). The plots were treated in the same way as the surrounding field and weighed off at harvest. All the plots were weighed and sampled for moisture and oil content at harvest. The results can be seen below.

PR46W21 confirmed its top position in the HGCA Recommended List  by giving the highest seed yield and gross output. The new pioneer MAXIMUS® semi-Dwarf hybrid PR44D06 gave the highest gross output of all the MAXIMUS® types and has demonstrated the yield increase that is being achieved from these shorter more manageable types.
